Theresa
Pezzano Siegert has won critical acclaim and
audience enthusiasm wherever she has appeared.
Her numerous roles in opera/operetta productions
at the Count Basie Theater in Red Bank include
Frasquita (Carmen), Santuzza (Cavalleria
Rusticana), and Queen of the Night (The
Magic Flute). She also appeared in the role
of the Mother in Brookdale’s production of
Amahl and the Night Visitors.
She has
performed in both the Jewish and Italian
Festivals at the Garden State Arts Center. Her
flair for Italian music was highlighted in a
special presentation at the Monmouth County
Library: “A CELEBRATION OF ITALIAN ART AND
CULTURE.” Her program of stories and songs
under the title, “SONGS MY FATHER TAUGHT ME,”
was so well received she was invited to repeat
it for The Center For Italian and
Italian-American Culture in Cedar Grove, New
Jersey.
Her
background also includes concerts at Steinway
and Carl Fisher Halls in New York City where she
studied voice at the New York College of Music.
As a cabaret singer, she entertained at elegant
restaurants, hotels and retirement villages
throughout the Shore area and places in
Florida. Currently she frequently sings on
Broadway/Opera Night at Posillipo Italian Restaurant
in Asbury Park, NJ.
